The Online Archive of California has some images online from the Robert B. Honeyman, Jr. Collection of Early Californian and Western American Pictorial Material. Many early photos of some of the old mining camps and Marysville.

"Argonauts of California" Miner passenger lists by sea and land in 1849.
Immigrant Ship Transcribers Guild - a free site where thousands of passenger logs are transcribed by volunteers. Ships from the East coast as well as all over the world brought people in search of the Gold Rush and to settle the "new territory". A valuable resource when researching early Yuba County emigrants and immigrants.
Maritime Heritage Project - focuses on steamers landing on the West coast, from the mid-1800's to the turn of the Century.

Mary Aaron Memorial Museum - This Gothic Revival residence was constructed in 1855, and one of the first brick structures built in Marysville. This home was owned by the Aaron family from 1874 to 1935, then turned over to the City of Marysville in trust. The museum is open every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and by appointment. 704 D Street, Marysville - 530-743-1004 - Tours are free of charge, gift shop on premises.
Museum of the Forgotten Warriors - Established in 1985 and privately owned, the focus of this museum is on the Vietnam veterans. Open the first Saturday of every month, Memorial Day, Veterans Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No charge for admission. 5865 A Road, Linda (off of N. Beale Road) - 530-742-3090
Yuba Feather Historical Museum - This is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. Located in Forbestown, the museum is in an old school house, with its displays changing yearly. You will find objects and photographs dating back to the Gold Rush days. Outside is a replica of an old mining town, complete with historic objects. Open weekends and holidays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Special events are also scheduled. No charge for admission. 19096 New York Flat Road, Forbestown, CA - 530-675-1025

primary newspaper for Yuba and Sutter Counties is the Appeal-Democrat. You can
obtain articles or obituaries from them for one year. Articles printed prior to
one year must be obtained from the Yuba County Library.

According to the Court Clerk in Nov. 2003, "The record search fee is $5 per name searched. Copies are $1 per page and checks can be written 'not to exceed' or after the search a letter can be sent to let you know the number of copies. A self-addressed stamped envelope is also required to send copies back."
