Churches

The following is a list of churches which may have some of the earlier records, although this has not been verified with them.  The list is compiled from those mentioned in "History of Yuba County" by Thompson & West, then checked with the current phone book.

BETHEL AME Church - 115 5th Street, Marysville, CA 95901

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN Church - Sampson & Rideout  Way, Marysville, CA 95901

MOUNT OLIVET BAPTIST Church - 2284 McGowan Pkwy, Olivehurst, CA  95961

ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL Church - 800 D Street, Marysville, CA  95901

ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC Church - 223 8th Street, Marysville, CA  95901 (After checking with the Parish office, I was told that their early records are all written in Latin.  I also found in transcribing the early marriage records, it appears that around 1862-3 their marriages were not recorded at the County Recorder's office.)
