Woodruff-Bloomfield (aka Sawyer Decision) - This court case not only
determined the course of hydraulic mining in Yuba County, but also set a
precedent for the State of California. Included in the many volumes of
transcripts are the names and locations of mines, as well as their owners.
Valuable historical and genealogical reference. (Special
requirements: Records must be transcribed on site in the California
Room of the Yuba County Library. Electrical outlets available for
laptop computer use.) Please contact
