FUNDRAISING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The fundraising committee is one
of the most critical to the success of this organization in reaching its
goals. This committee is also the
back-bone of all other committees. We
rely upon dedicated volunteers who also have a desire to help
fulfill the mission of YubaRoots.
The financial support of
individuals, other organizations, and businesses is crucial. No matter
what size the donation, it is all equally and whole-heartedly appreciated.
With every contribution received, that person or group becomes an important
part in what is accomplished. For those who can not volunteer for
local projects, financial support is a great way to feel a part of the work
that is done. Donators can also make requests that their contribution
be used only for a certain project.
This committee will be
instrumental in researching, organizing, planning and carrying out all
fundraising events. Some of the events may be geared toward specific
projects - ie: California Room, a cemetery, or for schools. The monies raised at these special events will be put
back into the specific projects.
After we receive 501(c)(3) status,
we will be applying for appropriate grants. The committee will
endeavor to network and collaborate with other agencies and organizations
toward common goals in obtaining grants, when appropriate.
