. . . a genealogy & history resource organization

One of the original Counties in California, Yuba County was established in 1850.

 County Seat is Marysville.

This organization is the only one of its kind in Northern California.  We focus on the preservation of our history through every means possible, including dissemination of collaborative efforts via the internet - with databases and materials compiled since 2001 by Kathy.  We seek to bring local history to school children, as well as researchers around the world.  YubaRoots acknowledges great importance in the value of working with other organizations in Yuba County, for a collaborative effort in preserving the rich history we all desire to protect.

Mission Statement:  The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be to identify, collect and preserve Yuba County's history, along with present educational programs and resources to foster appreciation for its rich historical and cultural past.

Do you wish to help with transcribing/typing records?  Would you be willing to help others with research requests?  Do you have any materials that you would like to share or donate?  Is working on cemetery projects something that appeals to you?  Is educating local school children about our County's history something you feel passionately about?  Would you like to donate funds in helping to achieve important goals?  Contact us at yubaroots@gmail.com to be part of a dynamic group of volunteers who believe in achieving results through collaboration.  Learn more about the organization that is pioneering a whole new way of preserving Yuba County history.

Tribute to Mr. Earl Ramey's life

"Time and accident are committing daily havoc on the originals deposited in our public offices...the lost cannot be recovered, but let us save what remains; not by vaults and locks which fence them from the public eye and use...but by such as multiplication of copies, as shall be place them beyond the reach of accident."  Thomas Jefferson, 1791

"...anything that is of value in life only multiplies when it is given."  Deepak Chopra
