Pre-emption Certificate No. 3055 - THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

Whereas, Henry H. Hollister, of Yuba County, California has deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE of the United States a CERTIFICATE OF THE REGISTER OF THE LAND OFFICE at Marysville whereby it appears that FULL PAYMENT has been made by the said Henry H. Hollister, according to the provisions of  the Act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820, entitled "An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands," for the North West quarter of Section ten, in Township fourteen North, of Range four East, in the District of Lands subject to sale at Marysville, California, containing One hundred and sixty acres, according to the OFFICIAL PLAT of the Survey of the said lands, returned to the GENERAL LAND OFFICE by the Surveyor General, which said Tract has been purchased by the said Henry H. Hollister.

Now, know ye, That the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in consideration of the premises and in conformity with the several Acts of Congress in such case made and provided, HAVE GIVEN AND GRANTED, and by these presents DO GIVE AND GRANT, unto the said Henry H. Hollister, and to his heirs, the said Tract above described, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said Henry H. Hollister and to his heirs and assigns forever.

In Testimony whereof, I, Ulysses S. Grant, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the GENERAL LAND OFFICE to be hereunto affixed.

Given under my hand, at the CITY OF WASHINGTON, the Fifteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty-nine, and of the INDEPENDENCE OF THE UNITED STATES the Ninety-third.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

Whereas, In pursuance of the Act of Congress, approved July 2, 1862, entitled "An act donating Public Lands to the several States and Territories which may provide Colleges for the benefit of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts," there has been deposited in the General Land Office Scrip No. 611, for one quarter section of Land, in favor of the State of Alabama, duly assigned by the proper authority of the said State to Julius Hollister, with evidence that the same has been located upon the South East quarter of Section four, in Township fourteen North, of Range four East, in the District of Lands subject to sale at Marysville, California containing One Hundred and Sixty acres, according to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General:

Now know ye, That there is therefore granted by the UNITED STATES unto the said Julius Hollister as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs, the tract of land above described, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Robert Read as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs and assigns forever; subject to any vested and accrued water rights for mining, agricultural, manufacturing, or other purposes, and rights to ditches and reservoirs used in connection with such water rights, as may be recognized and acknowledged by the local customs, laws, and decisions of courts, and also subject to the right of the proprietor of a vein or lode to extract and remove his ore therefrom, should the same be found to penetrate or intersect the premises hereby granted, as provided by law.

In Testimony whereof, I, Ulysses S. Grant, President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

Given under my hand, at the CITY OF WASHINGTON, the twentieth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy three, and of the Independence of the United States the Ninety seventh.

Now know ye, That there is therefore granted by the UNITED STATES unto the said William H. Killmer as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs, the tract of land above described, To have and to hold the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said William H. Whereas, John Mitchell of Yuba county, California has deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE  of the United States a CERTIFICATE OF THE REGISTER OF THE LAND OFFICE at Marysville, California, to the provisions of the act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820, entitled "An act making further provision for the sale of the public lands," for the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section thirty-four, and the South-west quarter of the South-west quarter of Section thirty-five, in Township fifteen North of Range four East; and the East half of the Lot numbered two of the North East quarter of Section three and the west half of the Lot numbered two of the North-west quarter of Section two, in Township fourteen North of Range four East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, in the district of lands subject to sale at Marysville, California; containing one hundred and fifty-three acres and eight-four hundredths of an acre, according to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said lands returned to the GENERAL LAND OFFICE by the Surveyor General, which said Tract has been purchased by the said John Mitchell.

Now know ye, That the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several acts of Congress in such case made and provided, HAVE GIVEN AND GRANTED, and by these presents DO GIVE AND GRANT, unto the said John Mitchell and to his heirs, the said tract  above described, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging unto the said John Mitchell and to his heirs and assigns forever.

Palmer, with evidence that the same has been located upon the North West quarter of Section Twenty eight in Township Thirteen North of Range Three East in the District of Lands subject to sale at Marysville, California containing One Hundred and Sixty acres, according to the Official Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General:

Now know ye, That there is therefore granted by the UNITED STATES unto the said Allen R. Palmer as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs, the tract of land above described, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Allen R. Palmer as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs and assigns forever.

In Testimony whereof, I, Ulysses S. Grant, President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

Now know ye, That there is therefore granted by the UNITED STATES unto the said Robert Read as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs, the tract of land above described, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Robert Read as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs and assigns forever.

In Testimony whereof, I, Ulysses S. Grant, President of the United States of America, have caused these Letters to be made Patent, and the SEAL OF THE GENERAL LAND OFFICE to be hereunto affixed.

Scott, of Yuba County, California, has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Marysville, California, whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Samuel W.
