Our Churches and Their Pastors

A. M. E. Church

    This church was established in 1855, and is located on Fifth street, between A and B.  There are about thirty members in the congregation, Rev. Mr. Chatman being the pastor of the church.  Sunday services are held at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., and the Sunday-school at 9 a.m.  Prayer meetings are held every Tuesday evening.  Nathaniel Nelson and John Gainsville are the Trustees.
