Farmer's Field Cemetery
Two tombstones were found by a farmer in Rio Oso . Other broken stones were also in the area, but could not be pieced back together. The two stones are:
RIDER, Homer M. - son of D.A. and A. - died Jul 5, 1856 - aged 24y 4m 23d
SHARP, John - Sacred to the memory of John Sharp who was murdered May 3, 1854, age 53 years, from Bennington, VT.
*****Originally it was documented that the stones from these two men were given to a museum. The stones are actually at the Marysville City Cemetery.
