Foss Family Cemetery

Located on the New York Flat Road about half way between Brownsville and Forbestown and next to the road. The Lemuel Foss family settled here in the early 1850's and had a ranch along the New York Creek and also mined the creek.

Their friends, the Lockwoods, also came west with them and are buried there with Mrs. Lockwood's mother, Caroline Brown.

Now the area is remote from any nearby residents, and is subject to vandalism.
