Records of Isaac McComas
Isaac Taylor McComas’ Marysville Projects
Isaac McComas arrived in Marysville, California in April of 1854 and returned to Maryland in June of 1865. The following is a list of the projects he mentioned in his diaries. Although the list is extensive, he regularly alluded to work that was underway but did not say what the work was or for whom he was working. In the later years, when he was contracted to build large buildings, his employees would be assigned smaller jobs. Many times no information was given about these jobs. Also, when involved in major construction projects, such as the Masonic Hall, he would accept no other jobs.
